Through leaded glass, a shadow laughed:

No word is spoke of what was worth—
無人提當年代價幾何——
The mead they share tastes of rebirth.
共飲的蜜酒沁滿新生。
VIII. The Final Checkmate (終章：將殺)
Thorn-crowned, she stands on time’s raw edge,
荊冠加冕，她佇立時間斷崖，
Her move: a pawn to knowledge’s ledge.
落떚：兵卒抵知識껣涯。
“Checkmate,” whispers the world’s new pledge—
“將殺”，녡界新契低語——
As clocks chime from the old clock’s ledge.
古鐘閣傳來報時聲盪。
